SSD's galore - best way to utilise them

I'm doing a rebuild on my system over the weekend.
My machine is based on the ASUS P6X58D-E motherboard - so I've got a couple of native SATA 3 controllers.
I also have the following SSD drives:

1x Crucial C300 128GB
2x Crucial M225 128GB

My potential plan was to:

1x C300 - Marvell SATA3 Controller - C Drive - OS and Office applications
2x M225 - Intel SATA2 Controller - RAID 0 - D Drive - Games & Storage

I do also have a WD 640GB SATA drive.
Was potentially thinking of adding that in for long-term storage.

How are SSD drives in a RAID 0 array?
Do they perform as expected?

SSD's in raid are mind bogglingly fast. However, currently the only drives to support TRIM fuction in RAID are Intels, so they would degrade faster due to no TRIM. It doesnt damage the drive but you'd need to do a format every now and then to clean them out.

You can run wiper on them every now and then. That's what I used to do but valid point about lack of trim support on raid.

But, yes, I can't see anything wrong with the proposed setup.

Except sell the two m225 drives and buy two more C300 and set up all three in raid 0 and use partitions for your OP and games.
