I just wanted to ask do SSDs load games faster than hard drives? I was considering getting one to put the OS and a few steam games on. :D

Yes.
SSD's have faster read times so games/applications will load quicker, same for say loading screens within games.

Yes they do..

I don't know by how much though..

An SSD is 'in it's element' as a boot Drive.. So With the OS on it and a few other bits (like games)..

It took my OS loading times down from about a minute to 20 seconds. :)

I have just moved all my games from the ssd to my hdd. And tbh, don`t notice any difference. As far as boot times go, Yes, it makes a big difference.

It's not always massive. I've noticed it in L4D2, TF2, GW2, and most notably Skyrim. GW1 used to fly as well, but GW1 was very optimised when it came to loading (and wasn't very demanding).

the start times and clsoe times of o/s are way quicker for me ... and thats usign a sata 2 set-up.

not doen to much game stuff yet as i'll be movign over to sata 3 parts soon.. but move than impressed with what ive seen
