Ok I was looking at getting a SSHD, but I am a bit confused. I read a review by OrphanBoy (sorry if I got your name wrong) and he was not that impressed with the one he got, ok he liked it I think but was not as good as he was expecting. Then I heard a lot of people saying get a Samsung HDD, is this one any good http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-071-SA ?

I have been spotting the original raptor 74 gig HDD 10,000 RPM since 05 and building a new PC I really want to get the best, I will be getting a 4 or 4.2 I7 and I have an external 1TB HDD so all I will put on the hard drive is the operating system and 1 or 2 games, will that HD be a big improvement? I ideally don't want to spend more than about 150 but just need some ideas.
Thanks

Thanks a lot mate, would you say to spend out another 20-50 would I be able to get something a lot better or will the difference be minimal?

Thanks

Nothing really in that price bracket £150-200. Summit and Vertex at £200 are very similar to the Agility, and in actual use, you would see no benefit. I'd stick with the Agility.

This. The drive reviewed by OrphanBoy was unfortunately a 1st generation SSD with a flawed design.

Ok thank you, if I got that one that you mentioned, would I need to buy additional cables or will they come with all I need?
Thanks,

It should come with a sata cable yes.

The only additional thing which you may need is an adaptor to mount it in a drive bay designed for a platter HDD, as they are larger.

In my experience, hard drives never come with SATA cables unless specified. I wouldn't bank on it. Normally the motherboard comes with a few.

Ok mate, I will be getting a new mobo with it - are the cable you can buy seperatly much better or they all just do the same job?
Thanks,
