Hi All

I am going to allow for payment for our courses online, the payment side of it will be handled by Barclays ePDQ so I don't have to worry about the security of user's credit cards. Even though the security is handled by Barclays do you think it would be a good idea to get a SSL certificate because if people start filling in form wouldn't they look for a padlock? Or do you think there's no need?

you only really need ssl on forms that are going to contain credit card details and other personal data etc, but that is all handled by epdq so i'd say no :)

You could get an SSL certificate just to give an extra layer of reassurance to the client but unless you're gathering sensitive data on your own website there's not really any need to in my opinion.
