ST220 Advice

300 miles seems about right, if driven sensibly, depends how you drive it. Make that V6 purr and there is a price to pay however.

Low cost of the car offsets cost of very regualr visits to the pump. Thats how I rationalised my decision to purchase one anyway.

6 months tax cost me 148 quid this week.

Priced up a pair of Goodyear F1 tyres at around 240 quid fitted at a local garage.

Decent tyres are £140-£150/corner from blackcircles (fully fitted price).

My last service (7th year) was £207 at an indy. Tax is £270 now for 12 months for a pre Mar'06 car.

I average around 21mpg with mostly town driving but can get over 30mpg on a cruise. Bear in mind the higher cost of high octane fuel.

Which provides minimal gains on the ST220.

A set of 4 AS2's is costing me £470 supplied.

Tax £240.

Low 20's commute, high 30's on a motorway run at 65mph.

Maintenance costs are minimal. Due to the way the car is built, rear hubs are pricey (£120), and replacing clutch/flywheel etc is a big labour job.

Other than that, no real hidden bills.

I run the Falken FK452's on mine. They're absolutely fine and cost £300 for a set. I average 320-350miles per tank, the trip reads 27mpg constantly and that's a mix of A/B roads and motorway. Tank tends to last a week for me, £82 to fill up last night.

Mines got the Sat Nav option as well although its not the greatest unit, its ok for the occasional use I give it. It's certainly a nicer cabin to be in with it though.

Red leather is a nice option as well but not always to everyone's taste.
