I've got CC1H firmware on my ST31500341AS. Does anyone have anything later they can send me please?

It's started clicking every so often which causes stuttering when browsing the drive. It seems to be a common problem, so I thought I'd give firmware a try as the firmware on these ST31500341AS drives is known for being terrible.

I think CC1J is out?

Thanks.

If you get anywhere on this please update this :)

I've got three of them drives which have done it since day one, once they have more than 500gb on them, they click stupid amounts.

Transfers pause for 15-30 seconds then carry on, the drive just wants to have a break n click for awhile.

I did open an rma off, but never went to the effort of posting them.

Will let you know. Seagate replied today claiming there is no newer firmware. Surely CC1J is newer!?

I'm seriously going to struggle considering Seagate after a 75%+ failure rate on these drives. Just got to keep in mind that not all their drives are like that!

That is one of the worst processes I have ever had to endure. It spams multiple tabs and unique browser windows; it has virtually impossible to decipher captcha codes; it requires you to endure the process for each individual drive and doesn't remember any of your preferences; and first time it didn't even recognise the drive correctly.

Absolute disaster with regards to customer service.

Is that a no then?

I'm sure the OP can give it a go and see how they get on.
