Stabbing and car attack on Synagogue in Manchester

The actions of the Israeli state are absolutely not an excuse to target people over here or innocents over there. Unfortunately certain groups of people dont see it that way. Ive already seen absolutely vile posts on social media supporting this attack, sadly from the types of people youd expect.

Indeed. Israel isn't helping in its behaviour either which is also going to stoke the flames. And social media will push a certain narrative too.

Agree on both points above. Mandy Patinkin brought this up (linked rather than embedding) where he states that what Israel is doing is stoking anti-semitism Worldwide and I can't disagree with him. Judaism has been weaponised by the Israeli Government through calling out any criticism of Israel as Anti-Semitic. This. unfortunately, feeds into the psyche of people that cannot seem to differentiate.

Imagine being attacked/killed for your beliefs. I know it's always happened since even before the crusades, but you'd have thought we'd have become more intelligent by now.

Religions have caused fights/wars/battles since the beginning and its just weird (my sky fairy is better than your sky fairy). The "intelligent" idea would be to get rid of all religiion TBQFH.

100%. If they're going to continue a genocide on the basis of religion, attacks for religious reasons are going to become increasingly common.

If they had any interest in actually protecting the Jewish people, they would create some sort of segregation between their genocide and their religion. Instead, they've linked the two every time they call anyone anti-Israeli or anti-Zionist antisemetic.

This sad incident pales in comparison to what's happening in Israel. It's sad that these Jews are collateral damage.

Hilariously (although it's not funny), I have some old friends from when I lived in the middle east who are hasidic jews who went to an anti zionist march, and some people wanted to hurl abuse at them for being antisemetic but clearly they realised they couldn't really make that make sense!

Police press conference at 15:15 apparently.
What aren’t they going to tell us.
"isolated incident" "don't overreact" and all the usual bingo buzzwords. probably no comment about them being too busy arresting people at 2AM for a twitter post rather than doing anything about the anitsemitic hordes that have been freely demonstrating in the cities etc.

The latest Police statement confirms it as being treated as terrorism, and reveals that two more are in custody over the incident, but no further details as yet.

If he arrived on a boat recently, Labour are cooked.
well atleast hes probably not related to a taliban commander

you know from a country where everyone is tribal the villages are usually all the same related family enclave, everyone shares the exact same views and hatred of the west.
drummed into them from birth until death.

would could possibly go wrong with giving people born to hate the west asylum? we are all kafir to them.

apparently their views stop at the border, like when you go on holiday to dubai and embrace all their customs and laws and don;t think any of it is ridiculous at all

must be a huge culture shock for them too which makes it so much harder even if they genuinely want to integrate it's like taking someone from the 1950s and plonking them in 2025.

I guess we should be grateful if they aren;t home grown terrorists these days.

Unfortunately when you import the world into your country their biases and hatred will come to this country, this will only become more common in the future.

Muslims are as far right as you can get to be fair. Racist, homphobic, misogynistic.
In theory yes, but lumping them in with what people colloquially understand far-right to be: skinheads, neo-nazis etc. is not useful. I'd rather we had more specificity than less.
