i've a micro-atx motherboard, a asus p7h55-m pro, with an i5 and 8gb off ddr3 1600 ram, and its really unstable.

It still crashes loading windows when the ram is clocked down to 1066 speeds, at 1.6 volts.

Could the issue be with the m-atx motherboard unable to handle the size/speed of the ram?

Does anyone else have that combination of ram in a h55 mobo?

Can you remove 4gb and see how you get on and run mem test to check for any problems.

What PSU are you using.

650 corsair.

I've run memtest on all the sticks with over 500% coverage and several passes with prime.

the only problem with the ram maybe that it is no-brand cheap with Micron parts
