Just upgraded my dads comp to 939. Went for a dfi rdx200 and, 146 cpu and a 7600 gpu. Dad mentioned that he occasionally got BSOD's before the upgrade.

Put eveything together and kept bsod'ing in windows instalation. Changed gpu and psu and no difference. The memory is 2 x512 corsair 4400. Timings are at 2.5,4,4,8,1t (default). When just running 1 stick (doesnt matter which) everything is fine even at 275mhz @ 2.75v (stock). Put cpu at stock at 200mhz with ram at 2.69v and it bsod's. As soon as put 2 sticks in it bsod's.

Could it be the board or cpu at fault and not able to handle 2 sticks or is it def memory? Weird that memory rated at 275mhz @ 2.75v cant run at 200mhz @ 2.69v

Yeah i have tried yellow slots but i know that these sticks are much better in orange. Stuck them up to 2.85v with both sticks in and run memtest fine now at 275 mhz with no sign of bsod. Cpu failing at this speed thou and was told it would do 2.85ghz at 1.568v and its failing 2.7ghz at 1.61ghz (temps are excelent so its not that). Think mem controller on cpu is dodgy so will try a different cpu tomorrow.
