Ive always been crap at fruit machines and recently had a go of a game called 'stacker' in a pub. Blocks move side to side, speeding up and all you have to do is press a button when they are in line with the rest of the stack.

Its £1 for 2 goes amd I got the the minor prizes loads of times and to the major prize line twice. A major prize was like a psp or DS, minor prices were yo-yo's, kjeyrings etc

Has anyone played stacker before that has tips and is there any online games like it?

Im guessing that once you get the top top line it will always jump past the major prize as it will only come around like 1/1000

Played on them a few times. A friend of mine has managed to win a major prize before, got a Samsung mobile phone.

Well it is tottaly rigged. When your on the major win line if the machine doesn't want you to win you won't.

There is no skill whatsoever in these machines. Ive played stacker loads of times and can more or less get to the last line without any effort but ive never been able to win a major prize. Like the op says it jumps past the block on the last line and will only pay out once £x's have been put in, you've just got to be lucky.

A friend of mine won a nano with £1 a while back after me and a few others had loaded the manchine up and then the other week won a ds with just 50p, he claims those are the only times he's ever played it the jammy ****

Pretty much a scam. Same with those crane machines. They are set to only give you a chance of winning once per x number of games.

The only real way of "guaranteeing" a win is to watch other people play and note how often it pays up. Only problem is, with stuff like a DS and iPods on offer, it will probably be some random occurrence, rather than a cycle.

played on those loads on holiday... i can get to the top every time and it always nudges it one to the left or right. what a con.

You've just got to be lucky and be playing when its due to pay out, the prizes make it worth the odd £1 every now and then especially after seeing my friend win twice.

Quoted for truth, I've gotten to the last line EVERY time I've played but it's never been payout time when it's my turn to play :(
