Stacking by double fine

It does look really intriguing. I like the idea of the Russian dolls gameplay where you can stack one inside another to solve puzzles, reach new areas, etc.

no idea why double fine do not release there downloadable games on steam.

I read an interview with Tim Schafer about this. Can't find it though.

Apparently their publisher (is it THQ?) aren't willing to pay the development costs for PC ports. As it's a pretty small company, they can't really do it for themselves.

He's said that if DF ever get big enough, he'll happily revisit older games for PC releases.

I like free.
Was probably going to buy this anyway, I like quirky games, it's good to play something different sometimes.
I've got £16 sat in my PS Wallet still unused, it was going to be for Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2, but I'm waiting for that to get cheaper now after the lukewarm reviews, so I was going to buy this with it instead, but now it's free!

I really like it, the graphical style is really charming and the game play itself is refreshingly alternative.
£9 is probably bit dear though.

Quite enjoying it. I can see that if you haven't got any patience, then the opening overlong cutscenes, and what I'd call a bit of a slow start could put a lot of people off.

Saying that, I'm not sure if I'd have bought it after playing a trial, but after getting it on Plus, I just kept on going and found myself really getting into it.

Looking at the trophy list though and where I am, it doesn't seem that it's an overly long game unless you want to hunt around for all the multiple solutions to the puzzles.

As mcwildcard said though, it's certainly charming and refreshingly alternative. Well worth putting some time into it if you've got it for nowt.

Interesting to see this is a proper free game for PS+, theres no time limit or subscription limit as per other 'free' PS+ games...

I love the fact arcade/indie style games get so much encouragement, means a lot of unique puzzlers etc with older styles that you wouldnt get in mainstream gaming. Looks interesting.

From what Ive looked at - yep. Theres no time limit on the game file itself and no activity period has been setup under transaction management (where the PS+ subscription is). This differs to both LBP and Sam and Max which have one or the other limits on them...
