Stag do ideas

So, it's time to try and get my mates stag do sorted. We're quite a close knit group, probably only be around 10 of us or so going and have a budget of around 150 (excluding spends).

Ideally we'd like to go abroad for the weekend although the budget itself makes it quite restrictive (dates we're looking at are Fri 23rd to Sun 25th of May or the week after). We aren't really big into clubbing, we generally like our ales, rums and the like although we're still up for it now and again (early 30s).

Any of you lot got any ideas? Was quite fancying Dusseldorf but thought i'd get some other ideas first, if you have any. You may suggest something that we've not even thought of yet.

£150 is quite restrictive. You can get return flights to Dublin from Newcastle airport that weekend for £80 on Ryanair which is probably your cheapest bet for going abroad.
 
We did a stag do in Dublin last year, everyone spent a minimum of £300, we didnt do that much either other than drink, including the flights and the hotel it was a £500 weekend.

Ive got a stag do in barcelona booked for may, our flights are £130 with Ryanair from Glasgow, id imagine the drink costs will be similar 300 quid or so. If you want to go away cheap you will have to stay in a hostel, and go eastern europe - mainland europe is so expensive right now - Im just back from Paris it was between 8-9 euros for a pint in 90% of the pubs there.
 
I have absolutely no idea what's happening on my stag do - it's all been organised for me, and paid for. I only know the dates, and that it is in this country! :eek:

As for ideas it depends what you guys like doing.

If you want a drinking weekend then Germany or Czech may be a good bet - but for £150 I don't know how feasible that would be.

Other activities I've been to in the past, is, pubcrawl around Edinburgh, Airsofting, Go karting, trips to Le Mans, etc...

Might be best to go to a city/town you've never been to before in the UK - somewhere with a lot of activities? Are you outdoorsy sorts of people, or just want to do pubcrawl type of things?
 
The budget could be a bit more, just some of the lads already have a few holidays booked and the like hence the lower end of the scale (that's just for travel and accommodation), even some ideas for places within the UK would be good, something a bit different than the usual stuff? I think the default is going to be London (I know drink wise etc that it's going to be expensive though)
 
for 150 you will struggle, best bet get the party ferry from north shields to amsterdam or somewhere similar for around 70 then drink on there, ht the dam and come back...else 150 wont get very far
 
Seconfpd best and cheap, was hitting a barn with bunked, porn I'm the TV 24/7, bonfire to cook on, kegs of beer, sprites the lot. Stupid games, we got some cheapo toy paintball guns and other such things to do around the barn/field, did clay pigeon shooting and quad biking. And one night we went for an Indian, followed by the local "town" where we got smashed and scared the locals, no clubs just about 6 pubs.

Best one by far was Barcelona where they happened to be national riots and striking, god tomes and actually cheap. Took over a hostel and return flights were cheap. The activity was banana boat, canoeing and water skiing

The one some mates did sounded epic, they were split into groups of 4 had to buy a sub £300 car, paint it and did a EU banger rally style. with lots of forfeits for the stag on route.
