How much can I expect to spend on a long weekend Friday - Monday drinking in Dublin? A stereotypical destination I know, but I didn't organise it. How expensive is the booze exactly?

Beers - £4 Pint - 4.50 Euros
Spirit with Mixer - 6 Euros.

If you are getting a round for a group of 6 don't expect too much change from 40 Euro. Even the food/taxis/groceries during the day are idiculousley expensive.

It's a dear hole and I'm amazed people are still going there when there are so many nice other cities which are cheaper in Europe.

What city centre isn't a ripoff? You can go into stores on the road down to the town and see things ratchet in price from store to store the closer you get.
 
Hmmm, this is going to be mightily expensive, how they can justify these prices exactly i've no idea. Oh well, might as well get drunk fast and forget the expense.
