Stagg chili

It's ok on toast if you need some food in a hurry. but it certainly isn't chilli and certainly not anywhere near nice.

Why don't you make your own chilli. Also tabasco is rubbish. All heat no flavour. MAke a good chilli with real chillis, chilli powder and spices. Then you can make it as hot as you like and it has taste.

Suprisingly nice for tinned chilli.

Nice big meal = tin of Stagg, tin of beans, cupful of rice.

Heat up both tins and add extra chillis to taste, cook rice, mix and serve with grated monteray jack.

Mmmm nice stuff, the Dynamite is the best, though it is still not hot enough...

Mmm... Stagg Chilli and rice is my stable Saturday lunch for when the Mrs is at work.

Adding stuff to make it as hot as you physically can I find a bit pointless though. It become less like food and more like a test of endurance.

Knock up a huge pot of homemade and freeze what you dont want, it tastes better, can be made just how you like it and is probably a lot better for you plus if you freeze it in individual portions you can just wack it in the pan heat it through and have it with whatever.

Also it always tastes better once its been heated through again

Contains possibly the worst excuse for meat I have seen in a tinned product...

Seriosely.. stop now :o

If you want a quick chilli that you dont have to make yourself, get down to tesco's, but a pack of lean steak mince (£1.10) and a jar of their own "extra special" chilli sauce (~£1.50) cook the mince then stir in the chilli sauce...

For extra interest, try adding in some extra types of beans, faver etc and finally a handfull of chopped green beans is also very nice, though this may not be to everyones taste.

Best of all, make your own sauce of course.. but if it must be pre prepared, I find the tesco own brand extra special sauce to be the best.

It will also feed more than just yourself, or save half the sauce for the next day etc so all in all it doesnt work out much more expensive, if at all.

i had this with rice when i went camping...

got really really boring in no time, with some bread or somthing it would be nice

I've had the Dynamite Hot a couple of times and thought it was nice in a "I've just been pepper sprayed" kind of way. I didn't realise until I tried a cooler version that the heat was masking how unbelievably bad it tasted. Awful stuff, like bitter cat food.

Good for tinned chilli, a very poor attempt for a decent chili though. The meat is reformed and only just fit for human consumption.

Try make your own, it'd be 100x better then Stagg.

Burnsy

Chilli is so easy to make, why bother with that tinned rubbish?

Make a big batch and freeze it rather than eat that.

I gave a tin of the dynamite chilli to my daughter and added more chillis thinking it wouldn't be hot enough for her, she ate crying her eyes out:eek:

Home made is much better though and so easy to make.
