Stalker games vsync issues

Hi all
i bought the stalker double pack as a gift for my brother in the steam sales.
After some research and configuring we managed to fix the non saving issue of the older game but we cant seem to fix the vsync not working issue with either of the games.
Any suggestions would be gratefull as the screen tearing is bloody annoying as 1 of them is running over 100fps with everything on and the other is over 500fps

Yeah they look good but vsync doesnt work even when I set it to allways on in CCC Any ideas?
