Is it any better with the latest patch? when I played it wasn't realistic with badguys spawning out of nowhere!

To tell you the truth i played STALKER on its initial release and i see no difference with any other patches, people can still shoot me through walls.

ah it's a great game, love it. i think the latest patch did help cause the patch before that was unplayable for me, the sky was really messed up

is there anyway i can use my old saves.basically my hard drive died and i did a copy of it. put it on new hd and all saves didnt work but got game working think its cause drive letter changed.thing is i dont want too start again.can i alter old saves some how? if not where can i get saves from running 1.0003 patch
