I want to get a DAB radio and have it act as an input to my AV amp. All of the standalone DAB radios I've looked at in supermarkets and that appear to only have a headphone socket, rather than a unamplified output of sorts. Am I right in thinking that it is dodgy to use this as an input to an amp, and if so can you actually get dab radios with the proper output, for say less than £100?

Try here. You can get 'separates' DAB radios quite freely. Bit more expensive, but exactly wht you need.

I have a old cambridge dab used to sound decent for the money but i did run it through a dac.My cyrus dab is much better than the cambridge but it does cost a lot more. For the best sound though fm is where its at.
