Star Trek Beyond

3 movies in a row the Enterprise gets totally wrecked and rebuilt, you'd think by this point they'd trot out Enterprise A. Warp effect from the side looked interesting, like a bubble being projected out in front of the ship clearing the way. Also at the end, that looked like NX01 from the Enterprise show from behind.

... nice to look at but not much else. ...

Indeed. ;)

HISHE to the rescue! "Has anyone seen my uniform?"

Trailer looks decent - wonder what that ship was at the end, looked like the NX from enterprise.

I posted this when the original trailer came out, USS Franklin (which is now fact, not an assumption as there was nothing about it back then)

This probably happens, a hundred years ago(or so) a past exploration ship does something by mistake and annoys the locals, they "lose" the ship and the locals get tech from said ship, fast forward to now and oh here's another ship from the same race, time for pay back.
Fighty fighty explodey stunt bikes save earth/crew/slaves, rebuild ship and escape.

It also has a sort of alternate timeline feely about it but we've literally already done that two films ago, so it's just a redesign I guess.
Looks like a modified variant, or could simply be a redesign as I said.

Really looking forward to this now:cool:

over the next year we seem to have a bevy of Sci-fi to look forward to!

...crosses fingers that the new Startrek TV series is 'good' :o:D

I much preferred this crap when Picard just pontificated and negotiated like a corporate Shakespeare from his 80's beige penthouse-like bridge. There was something intangibly comforting about the whole thing.

Wow at those two posters. The first is just a tired\retread of the original and the second one is just riffing on Star Wars. Good grief, even the woman's staff is clearly two lightsaber hilts on a stick.

And a motorbike? Really? In that time period? Man, I really dislike the JJ-verse version of Star\Trek.

The motorbike is an odd one. The cop chasing after Kirk as a kid was on a hover bike. Then kirk grew up and he rode an electric (presumably) motorbike with spokeless wheels. then he gets a little older and he's on a bog standard dirt bike. Give it a few more years and he'll probably be on a penny farthing or something lol

Looking very good to me...

Bit too much given away in that trailer though i think.....

Simon Pegg is looking old hahaha

"Hey Bro. This space action film's got cool motorbikes and Rhianna. Sick!"

Trekkie nerds leave pls. Star Trek's not for you creeps anymore.

I assume that's how the youth of today speak. :o:D

Are the Founders in this and have they been playing around with genetic engineering again? Because those nasties look like the offspring between the Jem'hadar and something else, possibly the Narn from Babylon 5. :p
