I must admit as a Star Trek fan this could well be the game to pull me into proper online gaming. Having my own starship would seriously rock hard.

Ships might be something like a group thing. Or perhaps thats where quests take place. Would be cool. I mean big guilds could man a ship, but im not really fond of just having me flying it. I would like that feeling there are loads of real people on the ship. Perhaps small defiant class or runabouts could be two or one man machines. But galaxy class, well it could be per guild. Maybe? i dunno we shall see, definately interested. With my wow im kinda getting a bit...bored. I really like ST and know about the lore (we all do to some extent) and just nice to instead of 'level' to gain rank. level 60 means nothing really, but being Captain or Commander people understand it. lots or rp opportunities too.

I think Its a case of a crew (Or guilds as you might know it) owns the ship, and from the ship they can do different missions.

The ship is what guild owned towns were in SWG...

And what player owned stations are in Eve

Hmm i'm wondering how they'll give it some variety, i mean what can your character do?

Fight...klingon sword thing, phaser, blaster rifle

Could have a few different races with different weapons but what'll be the difference between them? hardly like WoW where you'ver got vastly different classes.

Maybe have your own little ship which you can upgrade for space battles i dunno, is it a space based sim or first/third person.

Although how they implement Starship ownership/membership etc could be quite tricky.
I forsee an army of Jean l33t p1card5 out there in their own Enterprise....

This looks stunning. As a huge Star Trek fan I can't wait to see more of what this game has to offer.
