Star Wars Battlefront 2 will release in 2017

Rather have a master of orion styled game based on star wars or a action rpg like kotor 3 or a open world game like gta styled for starwars. I hope they dont just go with shooter all the time and do sequels cos of money.. Or heck a modern x wing vs tie fighter game. Actually a new entry to Star Wars - Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast would be awesome too as i liked that one tho didnt like jedi academy or df2.

Battlefront was such a disappointment for me. It was the perfect chance to marry what was best about BF with Star Wars. Missed opportunity.
 
Had this had a compelling single player options (like GTA V) I'd have been sucked into it. After playing it at a friend's house, it looked amazing but just felt a bit empty and shallow. It felt like a great SW collectable rather than anything fun packed and doesn't have much longevity IMO. :(

FTL: Star Wars Edition would be awesome

(Albeit FTL is probably a naturally better match with Star Trek)
 
If people buy **** they will keep on producing it.
The amount of people that played the beta and STILL brought the game only to then whinge about content goes to show how idiotic people are.

Hope they do a beta for this one too - played the last one and by the end of the weekend had seen just about everything it had to offer so didn't need to buy the game, so free gaming weekend

don't get me wrong for the first 10 hours or so its a good SW experience, after that theres literally nothing to keep you playing
 
Luckily i never bought the new sw game as it looked a bit boring if mp only as im not into mp much these days rather play a good campaign story mode as long as its not full of cinematics every 5 mins that lasts 10 mins each.
 
And this is why we didn't get a full/BF experience i.e. space battles, more maps, more weapons + vehicles etc. etc.) with the current one because they are going to milk it and their premium/DLC as good as what they can for the next 10 years...

Exactly, people have moved on to the next thing. In a year, they'll move back on to Battlefront 2 for a couple of months before moving off again, £40 at a time!
 
In terms of sales yup, far from a failure (although I would have expected more tbh), which isn't really a surprise given the title :p

In terms of a game though, a big failure, well aside from the engine masterpiece showcase...


And yup, the player base for PC is shocking even at night time :eek:
