Star Wars Battlefront 2 will release in 2017

Had this had a compelling single player options (like GTA V) I'd have been sucked into it. After playing it at a friend's house, it looked amazing but just felt a bit empty and shallow. It felt like a great SW collectable rather than anything fun packed and doesn't have much longevity IMO.

Yeah I bought this and realised later there was no single player... My copy is still sealed since I'm not bothered about online play.

I can justify £30-£40 for a few months entertainment as it's nothing.

That said I don't think i did more than a few hours on this, it looks superb, sound was amazing, played like a ****.

There not making anything, there just releasing the rest the content they stripped out of the first game.

Same for me, i like a good single player option, maybe they will do that on the second release.

There not making anything, there just releasing the rest the content they stripped out of the first game.

Hopefully thats the awesome singleplayer mode

First one got old fast, was obviously cobbled together to cash in on the TFA hype. Just felt more like a free to play game than a supposed AAA title.

Battlefront was just a train wreck. I couldn't get into it, Battlefront 2 better pull their finger out but they might make it with single player which does sounds cool

I knew Titanfall were doing a BF game didn't think it would be this though.

I really enjoyed Titanfall it just lacked depth. Hopefully they have learnt.

In terms of sales yup, far from a failure (although I would have expected more tbh), which isn't really a surprise given the title

I regretted buying Battlefront,So definatly will not buy 2..anyway are they going to be adding a single player story to Battlefront 2?

If not then they shouldn't be selling Battlefront 2 as a whole new game at £45+ as it will essentially just be map packs again that they could have added to Battlefront 1.

Il stick to Battlefield.

I don't care about single player at all, but do want multiplayer with some meat to it. There are so many cool vehicles, races, weapons etc in SW, so much they could have added. I'm not a fan of BF, but BF in the SW universe would have kept me hooked for years!

I feel sorry for people who bought Premium for Battlefront, I imagine they thought a lot of the "cool new maps and gamemodes" they will introduce in BF2 would have been part of BF1 in some of the DLC.

There was two years between Battlefield 3 and 4.

I didn't see people complaining about that.
