To be fair this probably counts for all 1,2 and 3 but the acting is horrific. Haven't watched it in ages and forgot how poor the film was :(

Wish Lucas has never touched them and a good director had done it with a darker caste to the film.

There just seems to be that cold empty vibe to them, like the cast can see its all blue screen around them. I'm hoping his tv series doesn't come to fruition.

3 was better than 1 and 2 imo.

That's lie saying getting shot in the arm is better than being shot in the face, both are horrible and you wouldn't want to experience either :p

I really wish they had a good director, like Mike Nolan who done the newer batman films. A real dark edge to it and removing the cheese the films would have been immense!

Still enjoy them to an extent but still feel like they are missed potential :(

You mean Christopher Nolan. :)

Having an actual actor to play Anakin, would have made a vast improvement, rather than having a plank of wood.

I "liked" episode three, despite how bad it was.

I felt it was a far better film then Episode two, which was on par with the first, which was terrible.

Episode four, five and six were all good.

Obi-Wan: Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine is evil! The Sith are evil. The Dark Side of the Force is an evil presense.
Anakin Skywalker: From my point of view, it is the Jedi who are evil.

No one talks like that. That line by Anakin is so out of place it's like a 5 year old wrote it.

Everyone knows the original trilogy was the best, Christian whatshisface was a bad choice for Anakin, but Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan was a good choice

No matter how much people complain about EP 1,2 and 3, they secretly love them and thats why they keep watching them no matter how bad they are.

Hayden Christensen has as much on screen presence and charisma as a particularly dull ironing board. That coupled with the fact that none of the actors truly feel engaged with the project leaves a heartless,soul-less cash cow trilogy.

If released in place of the original trilogy they would never have garnered the same praise and fanatical following (obviously utilising the effects of the day) due to them being, frankly, crap.

The original trilogy at least had some heart to it and whilst Mark Hamill's acting was questionable throughout he was supported by some epic characters in Vader, Han Solo, Leia etc. Let's not forget the the world of movies has moved on substantially since the 70s especially in the science fiction arena. The new films were not unique enough and relied far too much on green screen tech IMHO.

Whilst I enjoyed all 3 of the latest films, if I wasn't a fan of the originals I doubt I'd have sat through any of them.

It's well known that Lucas goes with a first take so it's no wonder the acting is beyond dreadful in places. He really did need to let someone else direct them as he's so obsessed with the tech involved he cant see the woods for the trees.
