Anyone know the reasons for the 16 certificate? Lightsabre violence, swearing? I've got an 11 year who wants to play. I'll be getting it for me anyway though...
 
My guess is, it's in order to conform to the regulations that govern the use of "Suprise Mechanics" in video games.
 
Given the people behind it, its probably a legal thing due to gambling rules from lootboxes

Need to be 18 to gamble and EA would need a licence to operate as a casino :D

Hopefully they get banned soon in the UK, like they have already been elsewhere (like Belgium).
 
Wow. I can't believe this guy is actually getting grief for actively checking whether games are suitable for his child. It's a hell of a lot better apporach than the idiots who let their pre-teen play something like GTA because "it's just a game".

Loot boxes & Pay to Win. There is a crack down already with many countries imposing higher age restrictions.
 
What isn’t a great sign? As far as I can tell they’ve sworn blind that there will be no multiplayer or micro transactions.
