Just tried playing SWTFU (steam version 1.2) but it is virtually unplayable due to the 30fps cap. Anyone got a working fix for it to remove the cap or at least raise it a bit? (tried a "61FPS.EXE" I found but it doesn't work).

Thanks.

Yeah read that link in my travels already, but I'm not expecting the devs to admit to there being a fix as it would be third party unsupported. Supposedly some people have been able to get 60fps via unofficial methods but there aren't any working links that I've found yet.

I do not know if it will work but im sure i got a game that was 30fps locked (la noire maybe) to over 30fps by using nvidia inspector and using the profile for the game i found vsync and forced it off which unlocked the 30fps lock the game had. Like i said duno if it will work but could try it. Duno if using nvidia control panel vysnc off would work might need to be a nvidia inspector profile tweak.

Scratch that, doesnt work, i just tested it and was 30fps according to fraps, im sure i disabled the 30fps limiter in it tho with vsync, maybe the new drivers with adaptive vsync is screwing with it or somit i duno.

Might have been d3doveride tool tho with forced triple buffering for d3d and force vsync off combo. My d3do is acting up i.e running but not showing the window for it so cant really get it to work as duno what its settings are atm.

I did it with the 61fps.exe download. Are you sure you got the right one as they made 3 for the different versions of the game, ie version 1.0, version v1.1 and version 1.2. But saying that mine is retail maybe it just won't work with Steam versions.

OK done some more digging and it turns out that the v1.2 61fps.exe doesn't work with the Steam version.

Not that I condone such behaviour, but if anyone else has this problem I found that copying another file called "SWTFU.exe" that I accidentally downloaded off the internet into the game directory works fine with the 61fps.exe... :)

Of course, 61fps is hardly ideal in itself so I still need a fix to enable 120fps+.

The mouse felt totally wrong when panning round, and it is extremely distracting, I can't concentrate on the game when it is jerking around like that.

Its built around the gamepad you talking TFU1 or 2 though as TFU2 has massive issues around no vsync so if you force it or go above 30FPS it breaks the ingame physics model in some places.

I had major issues with TFU2. Could never get it to work right.
Still broken with adaptive vsync on latest nvidia drivers never going to get fixed now Lucasarts are pretty much finished as a game developer they fired all their best people 4 years ago to outsource to the cheapest possible option in far east usually
