Star Wars Kinect

It has been delivered by Lovefilm today, so will give it a blast with my son. If its rented, you cant go wrong.

I really want it to be good, but my expectations are pretty low

Same with any motion-based controller. The games that are well designed e.g. Kinect Sports, Child of Eden are excellent but there is just too much dross.

I think the hydra looks surprisingly good on the natively supported games (valve ones) although I guess the motion is very small. I'm sure I'll have a few hours laugh with it
In fairness, the R2-D2 console looks amazing.

Yeah mainly the reason im getting, can't pick between it and halo reach limited edition one, but it'll be second hand as new ones are stupid prices now.

Played a little of this last night with my 9yr old son, in co-op mode. Together it was a good laugh.

Flight\Gunner sections are nothing special, its just point the guns in the correct direction as it has autofire.
Saber battles are decent, one hand LS and the other force use.

Both Pod Racing and Rancor Rampage are a good laugh. Not tried the dancing yet, probably wont :-)

As a 37yr old I doubt i'd play it myself, or at least not too often. It is nothing special but I can say the reviews i've read have been overly critical.

No issue with Kinect control either, seems quite smooth.

The game is aimed and kids, Star Wars geeks, or Star Wars geeks with kids. So that is probably why I find it decent :-)
