Star Wars Supremacy: Galactic Combat RTS

ahh i remember this game

came with a huge manual

how well has it aged

Its a shame LA didn't allow anything beyond one multiplayer patch :( I can imagine the 640x480 resolution is offputting for some people (good thing there are tabs for the in-game windows, and plenty of shortcut keys).

crikey i bought this game when i first visited the states, when it was released. Managed to go on the rampage with 2 death stars.

Nothing more enjoyable than finding the rebel HQ and blasting it with the death star.

playing the Empire was always more satisfying than playing the rebs lol

Yes..but then of course everybody hates you for it :(

..who am i kidding you're the empire, it's no fun if everyone loves you :D

What a head **** it is trying to get this installed on vist 64.

No FAQ, no sticky, nothing to suggest this is what you do for a brand new install on vista 64. Just a bunch of dead links and nonsensical readme's with acronyms that make no sense to anyone who clearly isn't a part of the SW Rebellion update project...

You didn't look carefully enough on the sub-section then.

The x64 installer wasn't a part of the main project. The first two links on the x86\x64 thread seem to still be working...

Edit: Downloaded from mediafire just fine.

Make a choice, Click Reloaded and get a black screen or click Rebellion and get 10394873249874 errors. Not gonna waste anymore time on this rubbish tbh.

Yea I saw those mate, thanks. It's just a complete mess where nothing is really explained for example, TC being total conversion with no mention of this in the readme or a link to get it. So you have to go poking around first to figure out TC means total conversion, then you have to go look for a download of it. But apart from that, the installation guide for x64 is a complete joke and skips steps which you actually need to figure out yourself such as creating a second installation directory. It's just an appaling mod attempt and not gonna bother wasting anymore time with it.

Wow i remember this game! Very similar to Imperium Galactica (2) which i was playing fairly recently :) Might have to see if i still have a copy of this kicking about somewhere actually....

It says on the thread I linked to its for Rebellion Reloaded, and I linked to the forum section which has the thread with download links for the mod.

You had the game patched to 1.01? Did you rename the exe back to supremacy if you have the UK version?

Tried creating an installer for an 11 year old game designed to work with Windows 98 and no source code? I doubt you'd get far. Its clearly marked as a beta so no guarantees are made about 100% functionality.

What about using VMware to run a 32-bit OS and install it in that environment instead?

RE: the second installation directory - that is to run both Reloaded and the stock game on one machine.
