My tips from being in a similar position to you when i started...

- Watch some Day9 / basic Terran builds - i didn't even know what a Mule was for my first 10 games - no wonder i never stood a chance!

- Concentrate on a 2 / 3 unit combinations per game. Marine / Marauder / Medi was popular when i started playing. Or if TvT it was Marine / Tank / Viking.

- Try and get to know your enemy. If you see X then you need Y etc - this is really not that easy unless you either watch a lot of games or play the other races yourself.

- As mentioned many times just get the basics correct - constantly build SCVs, constantly build units and spend money and expand at the right time.

Probably sounds a bit cheap but i would advise going for some quicker attacks. If you can be efficient and get 5-6 units together quickly then there is no reason not to go and have a go at your opponent. It can often feel a bit cheap if you are used to games where you build a massive base etc but SC2 is all about attacking at the right time - if you scout a Zerg expanding really early then you have to apply pressure - if you can do that at the same time as expanding / building stuff then you are halfway there.

Things may have changed but Terran certainly used to be hard to win with late game (at my level anyway). If you don't win the big engagement both Z and P can re-build quicker than you so you are in trouble.

What a coincidence! My best mate and I are just about to get into this game. My self having maybe 6 campaign missions experience!

We want to play online. Thanks for the day9tv suggestion and the idea of sticking to one strategy/maccro or what ever it is and just practicing :)

I am up for some games tonight, possibly with my mate, so maybe a 2v2?
