***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

Isn't it more like, that bad behaviour gets really, really well rewarded (because consumers are masochistic), and the true masters of bad behaviour have been rewarded with near 90% of the market?

Reviewers saying no bugs so far.
no even this one

edit:
PureDark apparently has a review code and their DLSS mod will be coming day one :)

It appears that PureDark has received a review code, he posted the following on Bilibili:

"9月1号解禁时准时出星空的DLSS2+3的mod"

or in English:

"DLSS2+3 mod for Starfield coming out on time for Sept. 1 release"

Isn't that the guy who charges for DLSS mods?

If so, I'll be sticking with FSR :/

It's Patreon so yep. They have done a few games (fallout 4, Skyrim, TLOU, Jedi Survivor, Elden) so if you grab a month you can get them all and no doubt if you don't they'll be all over the web to download by other means.

Maybe the mod will have sliding prices taking into account ability to pay?
$5 for a x50 class card.
$12 for a x60 class card
$21 for a x70 class card
$32 for a x80 class card
$81 for a x90 class card
That is, really fleece those who seem to enjoy being fleeced already.

Decided to watch a few videos on this. Hype has gone up even more. Cannot see how that won't be my GOTY, nothing else I've played this year stands out.
One of those games I think I'll be really glad I forked out for a decent GPU and 4k screen.

At the moment I have 3 contenders for my GOTY, Returnal, Remnant 2 and Baldurs Gate 3, IF Starfield turns out good then those are likely to be my 4 contenders come the end of the year (possibly with Cities 2 being a 5th contender depending upon how that turns out) , other than those I dont see anything else between now and the end of the year which will make it into my GOTY nominees.

(Unless maybe Stalker 2 and Warhammer Rogue Trader make it out this year)

(Or maybe Space Marine 2)

:D

I find first person games with exploration a lot more immersive so that alone will trump anything else for me.
BG isn't really drawing me in as I'd hoped for many reasons, I think the Eurogamer review nailed it. I also have rogue trader on my wishlist but there hasn't been much news and I don't reckon it will be 2023.

Hopefully Starfield will turn out to be GOTY quality then or its a bleak end of the year for you ! Fingers crossed !

Yeah lol, thats why I don't game a lot any more. Works out though, upskilling in other things and discovering what I'm good at (and not) on the way.
I game more than ever now I reckon, benefit of my age and all the little brats leaving home is that I've got more spare time now than I've had since I was a teenager but with much more of a gaming scene around now than when I was a teenager, so its gaming heaven for me :)

50 days won't be enough for this game I think, unless you are retired or have a week or two off. Unless one just does main missions only which would be an shame in a game like this.

I will be taking my time and exploring everything. 100-200 hours is my guess. I mean I spent 100 or so hours in Cyberpunk 2077 on release alone so can't see this being any less.
