Stargate (coming through Amazon)

The O'Neill. The most powerful Asgardian ship ever....

That was so good genius writing
Richard Dean Anderson ruled Stargate.
Their farscape actor dump was pretty inspired too.
Damn Stargate is really good...
Wasn't that the one they had to blow up on its maiden voyage? I enjoyed all of them tbh, I even enjoyed the direct to video ones, although I agree RDA is looking a but old these days. Could maybe have the original cast as the seniors running the base maybe?

Yes. It was ‘an all you can eat buffet’ for the Replicators since it was made of advanced metals.

So they used it to lure them away from the asguardian home world before blowing the ship up taking the replicators with it.

I remember the episode where you find it where the replicators first came from.

I need to rewatch them all again, glad I burned them onto my server so it's easy to binge watch them now.

Or the episode where they want to give the P90s to the rebels but they think they're toys so Carter shows them how to use them on a swinging log.

I remember one episode where some army guy is speaking to Bra'tac and says "Mister Bra'tac" and then Teal'c corrects him with "it's Master Bra'tac". Just the thought of that scene makes me laugh. I'm not even sure if i'm remebering the scene right or what episode it was from! Can anyone confirm i'm not going crazy?

also...

Oh lord. I absolutely adored Stargate and watched it all, some more than once, I just can’t imagine anyone getting it right these days. It had its silly moments, but it had many epic moments and had some fantastic cliff hangers.

Remember it well :)

I think it's O’Neill (with two L’s) :D that corrects Senator Kinsey. Can't remember the episode title tho! Such a great show.

Lost City part 1!

WEIR: Shall we have a seat then? (Everyone moves to sit at the table, the SS man moves out of view. I 'm guessing to watch over Kinsey) Obviously this is a situation of great importance.

O'NEILL: She's quick.

KINSEY: Which is why I've taken it upon myself to come down here and see what Mr Bra'tac has to say personally.

O'NEILL: MASTER Bra'tac, Master.

KINSEY: I beg your pardon. (I see the SS man ... he's sitting in a chair in the back watching Kinsey.) So you believe the Goa'uld Anubis is planning to attack?

BRA'TAC: You may be certain of it.

I'm all for a new series of Stargate.

I'd love to know who the new 'Big Bad' would be though as the Goa'uld / Replicators / Ori were all defeated in SG1 and as of 2009, Atlantis was sitting at the bottom of Francisco Bay and the Wraith were back in the Pegasus Galaxy.

I'd also love to finally learn more about the Furlings, its mad that we never came across any Furling settlements or learnt anything about them considering they were one of the 4 Great Races of the galaxy. Even the Atlantians left things behind when they fled the galaxy.

The Aschen were left loitering in the background - lots of potential intrigue there but it would need very good writing to make something interesting from it.

SG1 was good for the first 7 seasons, which is pretty good for any TV series. Series 8 is where the quality dropped. They dragged it out for a couple more series to which I personally drifted away from. I think when RDA was less involved, is when the quality dropped for me. SGA was OK and I really liked SGU. I even enjoyed the first series where the attention to detail was very good and high. Things like characters getting grumpy due to lack of caffeine, having no resources and little air etc. It was a huge shame it was cancelled.

Not sure how I feel about a new series. I really hope we don't see another "modern take" on it. After the restart of Star Trek, I think I'd rather they didn't bother try and ruin my memory of another series. I guess we will see what they do with it in due course.

I don't understand why Stargate gets so many chances, we've had what 5 tv series and a multiple films, how much more does it need?
I enjoyed the film, SG1 and Universe was just finding its feet as it was canned imo. Atlantis was my favourite however so am more than happy for it (Stargate) to get more.
I expect it only got that amount of attention because it had good viewing figures

SG1 did drag on a little too much, but such is the way of many TV shows esp American ones
