OK so there have been rumours of a movie for several years now but now its finally been confirmed by MGM as being on the front burner...

Both MGM and the producers of the SG-1 series have been dropping hints recently that Series 10 is very likely going to be the last, citing reduced returns due to ever increasing actor salaries...

And a third Stargate series :o

Also don't forget the MMORPG Stargate game in development :o

Excellent, yeah they can replace the wrinkley actors nps and bring in younger/fresher n cheaper faces ;)

But gotta admit the shows done so much im wondering how much longer/more can they really do ?

Perhaps one last mega film would be a good send off to SG1, but they can continue with numerous guest appearances/pass on to other series like Atlantis.....

Either way pleased its not quite the end of Stargate cos that and BSG is only left !

A new film ace, i can't wait for that i hope it's good and they don't ruin it. Quite enjoyed the orginal stargate film so they will have to do better than that one.

Yeah Stargate with Kurt Russell was brilliant. Easily one of the best sci-fi movies of the 90's! Didn't it make a killing at the box office too? Wierd how they've waited so long to do a sequel

Hehe I liked it but I didn't watch it in the cinema. It's good that they kept continuity from the film in the series, except for some characters looking completely different. But let's face it the characters' looks didn't even keep continuity throughout the series.

its STARGATE!!!

You know, i love sci fi, i really do.
Star wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Gallactica, The Martian Chronicles, The Alien Franchise, even Farscape had its moments.

But two series i cant abide because they are bottom, are Babylon 5 and Stargate.

I have an almost opposite view. Although I think Babylon 5 is crap.

until now i loved you,

now i just pity you :(

SG1 F T W

(i still love you really :p;))

Stargate is the most successful sci-fi franchise ever. Beating Startrek and X-files. (This is official, as determined by the number of series/episodes produced, not some drivel I just made up :p) IMO that's enough evidence to prove it isn't just a load of crap :p
