Start menu not opening

No I don't. OneDrive is the only thing but I can't uninstall it because it's stuck to file explorer. I don't use it though. I always click exit when the icon appears in the task bar.

OK I been reading around this might be a long shot but it's worth a try, apparently it has worked for others.

Open up Task manager
Click File > Run new task
Write "msconfig" without quotes and make sure you tick 'create this task with admin priviledges'
Navigate to the Boot tab
Under Boot options tick 'Safe boot'
Click OK > Click Restart

Let the PC restart and then repeat the above steps but this time UNTICK 'Safe boot' and restart once more.

If you are lucky your start menu should be working again.

Thanks. But after rebooting the start menu is fine. It's after using the PC for a while it just stops opening. I'll do the clean install and not install Samsung Magician to see if for some reason that's the culprit. I don't see why it would be but as I mentioned it started happening after I installed and set it to max performance.

I am running Samsung Magician 4.9.5 no issues with start menu.

I had to stop Samsung Magician from autorunning because when launching some apps it caused them to minimize and then I was unable to maximise them (Windows 10). Its autorun is under Task Scheduler.

Most of the OS optimisation options in Samsung Magician are static settings that are applied once when you set it up - some of them are bad as well :|

While Samsung Magician does some dodgy stuff with DirectX that can cause issues with applications minimising, etc. the start menu problems are probably Windows 10 - I've had no end of issues with some of my installs with the start menu not opening or not responding especially with the most recent update (none of those installs have Samsung Magician installed).
