Hi everyone, I'm currently in the middle of a new build and have some questions about it.. first off the intended rig..

Nzxt source 530
Asus z97 pro
4790k
Gtx 780 ti in sli
Crucial mx100 250gb ssd
2tb seagate baracuda
32gb corsair vengence 2600-2666mhz
Swiftech H240-X watercooler
Corsair 1000w psu

Questions about the build..

Will these work good together? (I read that the 4790k can only handle dual mem upto 1666mhz?)
Will 1000w be enough power for the cooler to cool the cpu AND 2 gtx970s as well as powering the 2 cards and also with internal led strips?
Will the z97 pro optimise the overclocking well with the temp overclock feature and be stable?
I dont see much about a similar build on youtube so wondered if my build is badly paired or that it consists of plenty of new parts that not many people would have built this to do them tests with?

A lot of questions I know but there is also a lot of money goin

What's this build for & have you bought the parts already?

#1 - Will these work good together?
All will work fine, nothing standing out that would cause an issue.

#2 - Will 1000w be enough power for the cooler to cool the cpu AND 2 gtx970s as well as powering the 2 cards and also with internal led strips?
Not sure what you're asking exactly, but the cooler will have the capability to cool the CPU without any issues. 1000W is more than enough to power the 2 780ti's.

#3 - Will the z97 pro optimise the overclocking well with the temp overclock feature and be stable?
The Asus Z97 Pro is a decent board, they're alternatives which might interest you for more features, especially as you're working with lots of high-spec RAM so overclocking will need some attention.

Thanks for the reply. As for the build I want it for gaming purposes but I want it to last for a long so I dont need to upgrade for a while.

The psu, I meant will it power... the gfx cards (gtx970's.. my mistake sorry)... the cooler for the cpu n gfx cards (dunno if the cooler will require any addition power to cool gfx cards as well as a cpu)

Iv already bought my case and motherboard.. the board because the 5 way optimisation interests me, especially the temp overclock feature :)

2 x 970's will be more than enough, what screen do you have? 1 of them can power a 1440p monitor with each, so 2 will be fine.

DayZ from what I've heard will never be a fully optimised game, being as it may never even get out of early access, I would work with what you have, as anything higher won't make any difference.

Specs have been released for GTA V, your PC will be more than enough.

Ye just found the system requirements for it.. can't believe the min cpu is a q6600.. I used that for gta iv n it wasn't perfect then.. then again I was on a 9800gt as well so was a pretty weak system.

I also heard not long ago they are going to update DayZ so its less cpu reliant :/ only wanted that to try it out though but if I like it I may as well keep it an have a system to handle it.

Screen/s I've not fully decided which to go for just yet but I wanna go for a 3 monitor set up with the screens being no smaller than 22" each. I plan to play some racing games also and hear that three screens is just simply perfect for like Grid 2 :)
