BBC1 now, Baghdad sirens wailing.

Can see a bit of anti aircraft fire going up, and some muppet just shone a torch into the nite-cam and blinded me!

The nights bombing begins,

up to 12 would mean eight I'd have thought. Just because I've not heard reports of any other than Fairford's being mobilized though, so I could easily be wrong...

I',m not sure to be 100%, but i'm pretty sure B52 Bombers are also based on the British Indian Ocean island Diego Garcia.

Anyone know for sure?

ABCNEWS TV reporting that the first wave of B52's were called off and ordered to stay in region to await further orders

ABCNEWS TV

 Wonder why!??

Where will they go, need massive massive runways (Fairford runway is 10 miles long!)

Any more news on the CNN reporters yet??

Hmm, James Rubin is talking on BBC World service, very bright guy. He's just pointed out that France and Germany, both oh so against the war, have allowed the B52's air space.

I dont think they would dare not supply airspace! I hope the B52 guys dont drop a missile by mistake:D ;)
