Starting Army Basic Training :D

Royal Signals as a Communication Systems Engineer. And once all my training is out the way and I've done a tour and served with my unit for a year or two, going to apply 216 Royal Signals Parachute Regiment, try something a bit more hardcore lol.

Congrats, I was in the Signals for 14 years man and boy, and saw many people go for other berets. I always thought the Marines were the toughest to get into, mainly for the longer selection course. With the Paras / SAS Signals, you could get through with a slight injury. As the Marine course lasted longer, you couldn't blag it, as you usually made the injury worse over time.

I spent 10years in the royal signals from 1986 to 1995 as Radio Telegraphist

Same as me, apart from I was in 1984 - 1998, same trade, but they changed it to Telecommunications Operator Telegraphist (TG).

:D

Got my RAuxAF training again on the 20th may and then joining the regulars later on this year.

Really do love the whole thing. Can't wait until its full time!

Good god, this is SO much easier this time around compared to last time. It's either I'm more confident in myself, or the nanny state is having a biggrer impact on training lol.

In an awesome section of 12 guys, getting on extreemly well. Other sections in our troop are ****poor but ah well lol.

Miss having internet access, barly get GSM network, never mind EDGE or 3G, so my iPhone is mostly just an iPod now heh. Makes doing the ironing a bit more fun lol.
