Starting driving again...

So I haven't owned / driven a car now for more than 6 months, and I'm on the verge of purchacing a fiesta mk4 with the 1.25 zetec.

Problem is, I'm actually nervous to get behind the wheel again, is that normal after an extended period without driving?

Yep, had that, didn't drive for 4 months after passing my test. Got a car and was shocked at how abysmal my driving was, soon sharpened up

Going from 190BHP to 60BHP is going to be a bit of a step down anyway.

Cant go too wrong in a bumper car...

If you're a bit nervous, try and go for a few drives when it's quiet just to get used to the new car.
