Starting iTunes automatically

I might be missing something really obvious here but am hoping someone can lend a hand. I use iTunes to download and manage podcasts on my laptop which is great. However I keep forgetting to turn iTunes on and hence often miss podcasts that are regularly updated and only allow the latest version to be downloaded. So basically what I want to do is start iTunes (ideally in the system tray) whenever the computer starts - or at least something like that. Any ideas how I can do this?

Thanks!

Drag a shortcut to it into your startup folder is the first thing that springs to mind. Probably won't start minmised to the tray unless there is an explicit option for that in iTunes options though.

Having said that I'd be surprised if it didn't include an option to run on startup as part of iTunes.

Put a shortcut to it in your "startup" folder in the programs menu. When it's there right click properties and select the "shortcut" tab. In "Run:" select "minimize".
