I use statcounter to log visits etc to my site. When I look at the recent activity, there are a few that have a visit length of 0 seconds. Any idea what that's all about?

Cheers

Usually down to robots/spiders crawling the web and just indexing your site and pages.
So not actual real visitors usually!

Apparently it's down to the way it works. If they visit the main page and don't click anything else, it logs as 0 secs. It needs them to click on other links for it to calculate it. With it being a blog, that doesn't always happen.

Cheers for the reply :)

Oh right.. Thanks for that as I too use statcounter. When I looked into it previously some of the corresponding ip addresses matched to bots/spiders so I just assumed most were! ..but what you said makes sense.

Found it in the support forums, seems to be a common thing to be asked.
