These are truly incredible monitors with crazy high specification and remember a full 1yr warranty!

The SOGA states that electrical goods you are deemed liable for at least 6 years warranty cover with a TV, refurb or not.

I believe we've being through this before and as long as its in very clear print they are indeed a refurb with the warranty period, then the warranty is only for the period advertised.

That is a shame then. I don't want to buy a TV and if it breaks have to try to drag you through court to get it repaired/partial refunded then. I will avoid on this occasion.

Never heard of TVs failing. Warranty seems fair.

Some shops when you buy refurbished units, they come with no warranty or at most iv seen is 6 month (just for refurbished units)... Id be happy with 12 months.

Would it not be clever to find out what has been refurbished on these units?
If you really do have 10+ in stock all of which have been A grade refurbished... what was actually refurbished on them in the first place?

I can only imagine that it is simply a case of a tatty box or something - hence calling them refurbished and using this as a way of dodging consumer rights and insisting on only 12 months warranty?

Im sorry to actually post this but I am simply very interested on how this is possible to have so many refurbished tellys!

I think the whole point is, the savings are rather huge. I am by no means an expert on the latest TV's as they are generally an item we don't sell. But these seemed like incredible value for money and if the equivalent specification brand new cost considerably more then the saving could be justified.

Afterall in general TV's don't suffer a failure that renders them useless. My home plasma had its internal DVB tuner fail after 4yrs, I could have chased warranty but just purchased a Philips DVB Tuner instead.

Hi there

Were not holding this stock on-site here, our distributor is shipping for us as they are setup for shipping large televisions, wheras we are not, hence why the largest screens we sell are 32".

These are 100% refurbished, not tatty packaging as the TV's are re-packed in new packaging, so not tatty at all, but they are refurbs for sure, even if they look brand new, they are refurb.

And cutting the price by over 50%? Hardly seems worth their effort.

My mothers tv was an ex demo unit (LG). It failed at around 13 months old since purchase and currys backed down and repaired it foc. LG aren't bad tv's good on you for getting access to some gibbo.

Only thing I would say is they are old models, and I guess some people are right to be concerned. The parts that haven't been replaced could effectively be over a year old already.

Edit : Oh and no freeview hd :|
