I cant connect at all to mw2.

I got the "steam was unable to sync your files for call of duty: modern warfare 2 with the steam cloud" error and verifying the integrity of my files doesnt seem to work.

I can now load the game only to be met with "cannot connect to Steam"

It appears im not the only one. Wonder whats going on??

I don't understand why your first reaction is to create a new thread on this? Surely logic would dictate that you check the, already huge, official Modern Warfare 2 thread?

Since they did an update 2 days ago, every 1 has had problems. For example; in a party, your the leader and when you find game, cod6 encounter a problem, don't send. ano0ther 1 is it takes ages to find a game. Also, in a party and when joining a game, 2 out of 3 people will get it as it says game unavailable.

Im sorry im a married mid 30's guy with children who doesnt game as much as I used to and also im not a friggin logical vulcan so No! im sorry I didnt check the friggin official thread.
Are you now gonna tell me that all conversations have to take place in there?. Do I face a ban if I mention the flaming game outwith the "Offficial" thread.

If you've nothing to say then shut it

Right, well forgive me, but these aren't your own personal forums. It took me less time to check the official thread than it would have done to post a new one, all you needed to do was click the link that takes you to the most recent page... You don't need to be a logical vulcan (whatever that is) to handle it. And no, not all the conversations need to take place in there, but if there's already a conversation about this in there, where's the logic in starting another one? And no, you don't face a ban, but like I said, it's just a waste of space, time and bandwidth.

And for the record, I'm not some 1337pr0h4x0r gamer that just presses refresh every five minutes.

Oh noes someone didn't want to potentially wade through a massive thread to find info on something that may or may not have been reported...

Nor are they yours last time I checked, so perhaps knock off the attitude?
My sincerest apologies.
Oh noes someone didn't want to potentially wade through a massive thread to find info on something that may or may not have been reported...
Like I said, there is no wading involved. Are you seriously endorsing the idea that you'd rather people post threads on a subject without even spending one minute checking to see if topic has been covered already?

Jeez, a bit of consideration, please.

Big threads are usually for general discussion - I don't see a problem posting a new thread for a potentially isolated problem.
