What do we think?

I think the length of time it takes the user in the vid to aim at the wooden targets pretty much highlights why controllers are a bad idea for FPS, as usual they are fine for some stuff but will never replace a KB/M for FPS games.

At a glance, I'm quite excited (as I'm pants at fps games with a pad), but I'll need to try it myself to be sure.

Looks amazing. All the mouse only games that were unplayable on traditional controllers will now be well playable on TV. And it is so much more accurate for shooters than normal controllers...awesome. Buying one definitely. I actually play PC games on my 55" plasma, and this will be perfect for games that need mouse and keyboard, like Wasteland 2.

Im liking it, mainly because I think this will be good for the Oculus and im going to have to learn a controller anyway.

While trackpad offers far more accuracy than a thumbstick, it means you have to constantly move your thumb to turn more or, whatever really. Not convinced that will be remotely comfortable for prolonged usage.

Also as someone mentioned the other main buttons not really being in reach without moving your hand significantly from it's normal position will likely prove a pain in the ass in many games.

I think it's a step in the right direction. Personally I would have preferred to see square track pads as they would offer more room for customisation. But as I have yet to try I will will reserve full judgement until then.

I think I'd need to try it out before I'd buy one but it looks interesting. Has there been any info on price yet?

While this allows easy control of a mouse pointer, the guy seemed to take an age to aim in counter strike. I can't see how it will be fast enough for competitive FPS or even a fast pace RTS.

I think if you play online multiplayer against key/mouse users you will die.... a lot.

As a controller I would have to leave that to console players as I haven't used one for nearly long enough to say which one is better. Maybe playing skyrim/witcher 3 (still very excited) and games of that type may work well. Essentially games that don't require the accuracy of a k/m, but where you can sit back and play from the conmort of your sofa. Or buy a ps4/xboxone.

Just Valves attempt at re inventing the wheel, doesn't look comfortable and a touch dpad in place of your right thumb buttons. Just looks wrong.
