yeah got to be worse time.. spent most of day looking forward to a few hours of gaming and this has cut that short if not ruined it completely.

this is onnoying! have just formatted and tryed to access the steam site to get the client back and i cant get on!!!!!!
btw to fix problems that some on here are having, some games (offline) don't need steam to run you can just run them from within the steam folder

Back up for me.
ok its working again now, got the steam client back and beginning rebuild...
don't worry i have disks for UT3 and L4D so it ain't as bad as it looks
really wish games would stop forcing me to run them through steam. Dow2 epsically i mean windows live and steam pff
it's only the friends list that's down games are still fine

save your backups for steam games before you reinstall makes it a breeze
i didn't have the space, thats partly what the format was for really so i could split my 400 GB down the middle
