Steam down?

Seems very slow for me. Took a while to load and login, but login it did.

Depends on what server you are on. Check if you are using the right one but if it is then try another to see if it is faster. I'm using UK - London and it max's my line but I've got a crappy country side line.

Same problem here... sometimes it'll download full speed then switch to quarter speed after a bit, even in off-peak times. I think Virgin Media have issues with their speed capping and it comes on when it shouldn't

Same with VM here, i only get good speeds late at night usually.

Steam / Settings / Downlaods + Cloud

Change the download region.

It could also be your internet provider throttling your speeds which would be annoying.
