Anyone else having problems logging in to Steam tonight?

Yup I am. It tries to update. Can't connect to Steam network apparently then throws me out. First problem I've ever had with it.

Something is up with mine. Tried a repair, but repaired to the wrong location, so tried and uninstall with the intention of installing it to where it needs to be, and I got this error;

Anyone have 50TB of HD space spare? lol.

EDIT: Just realised, I had some files sitting in the recycle bin, and there was no space on the drive, only around 40MB, so guess that's where it was throwing up the error, but seriously, 50TB?? Bit of an over estimate lol.

Mine is working but when it is minimized to a window in the taskbar, it is permanently green like it is downloading something. :confused:

I had major problems in game earlier, kept getting drop outs/retries mid game. Been a bit uppity over the last week, noticed a couple of threads on Steam problems.

There was a client update when I logged in earlier.

I suggest deleting your clientRegistry.blob file in the Steam folder, then restart steam.

Is it ok to delete all the clientregistry.blob files as I have just noticed I have 4?

I tried deleting the clientregistry.blob file and still got the same error message.
BUT, after the 4th time of deleting it finally worked!!
Keep trying!!!!

Strange this seems to affect so many folks at random intervals.

deleted that file now it just goes 0-4% then back to 0% again

rinses, then repeats. BAH!
