Can't decide this until I see the price. At the moment it's a no. Don't think it's a big enough upgrade over the Quest 3. But if it is priced around £700 I might be tempted.

Eye tracking and Oled for my next upgrade I think. Or 2 generations of Quest or equivalent I guess, so that games still work etc.

From a specifications point of view, it’s similar to a Quest Pro (res and eye tracking), but with reduced weight.

The more I read this thread, the less I want one, it would have to be better in 90% of scenarios for me to want to replace my Quest 3 with it, and what we know about it already suggests its not going to be anywhere near that, especially as the price is likely to be inflated at the minute.

That said, I am out of the country in late October so will be bored at night and likely to buy things on a whim....

I don't think I'll actually buy one, but after trading in the Vive last year this is the first time I've seen a VR headset that could reel me back in.

The simplicity of this has a lot going for it, eliminating all of the other bits, the wires and even the reliance on a PC - that could easily make this something I'd use regularly rather than something to occasionally get up and running.

I voted no, with the caveat.... depends on price. But the price would need to offset there being no colour passthrough. I would also prefer to wait to see the reviews to see how useful it is, compared to the Q3.
Having the Q3, 512GB, it would only be for the difference between that and what the Frame could offer. Not sure it is going to be that enticing.

Really the main thing is much lower latency and higher quality PC streaming, plus foveated rendering will become more of an option on PCVR games giving a performance boost. Maybe even eye-tracked UIs become more common.
Right now eye-tracking is a bit niche on PCVR, restricted mostly to higher end, expensive headsets. PSVR2 has eye tracking but that only got enabled recently on PC.

I mean, a quest 3 does everything you've just mentioned? There's some cracking deals second hand on the 3S around too. Might be worth grabbing one and seeing if you do actually use it regularly, for maybe close to 15% of the price...
