Yo all so I'm slightly confused here do these items do the same thing? In regards to game streams? I know nvidia has netflix etc but not fussed as that's on all my other devices. I ask as there is a massive price difference, my pc is decent but all way in the attic and sometimes I just want to play my games on my TV like I do with ps4 etc, moving pc downstairs isn't an option it's too big. I could wire it so I'm assuming streaming would work but I just don't know what maybe best to invest in

ive had both and prefer the shield mainly because you can use it for netflix and other apps without the need for the pc but if you want you can still stream your desktop to the shield. that being said you need an nvidia gpu to do so but with the steam link and card will do.
i would definatly go with the shield if you are an nvidia user.
i managed to get mine for £100 from the second hand store that sounds like a dirty word
