Steam offline mode

Going away over christmas and I've loaded my laptop with a good few steam games, but it then dawned on me i'll have no inter web connection.

Is there a way to have steam in an offline mode that allows me to play games without the need of a connection ?

Yes, it's called Steam Offline mode incidentally. For best result, go offline whilst you still have an internet connection.

I did this when going travelling. I made sure to have offline mode enabled before i departed. It actually works really well.

To find it you use the top toolbar and go: Steam > Go offline, then click 'Restart in offline mode'...

Easy!

As a heads up, you'll need to log in in online mode at least once before you go, then set it to offline mode.

Then restart offline
