You can, see mine. I was using mine first too, way before it became cool

Just hyperlink something with steam://friends/add/xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Where the xxx bit is your Steam id plus some number, can't remember now how to work it out. You could always generate your sig using CaptainRave's link then wrap it around something else.
