Darksiders 2 always tempts me, i quite enjoyed the first one but have always been put off darksiders 2 because of the whole selling if the ip and thq stuff that followed soon after!

Just installed steam and bought my first ever digital game

Age Of Empires 2 HD.

With the current generation consoles lacking anything I want to play, I thought I'd go back and do some gaming on my pc.

I really liked the first one, and loved the second - it's really more of the same but with quite a lot of extra depth added and general tweaks and polishes to improve on the formula

Aw yiss the FPS-RPG category won, was hoping that'd happen. Fallout:NV and Dead Island for a fiver each is pretty good and might just throw in Deus Ex there too.

I think I am going to get Deus Ex as well. Never played it but that particular one looks pretty fun.

Don't get it from the steam store your normally find these on bundlestar for cheaper bundled with aload of other sims

Doing okay in the sale so far, though my target was to pick up DLC for existing games rather than new games (have far too many)... So far though:

Thoughts on mortal Kombat for £3.74? Never had a 1v1 fighting game, all i've played is the virtua fighter 4 demo which while enjoyable, i could see how it get's boring pretty quickly.

This voting on the flash sales is ridiculous. All that gets voted for are shooters; three times I've failed to get Age of Wonders III or Warlock 2 voted through and each time it's been a group of 'action' games that have got through. How are we strategy fans supposed to get items into Flash sales?

It really shouldn't be, but it's very decent actually. Probably for similar reasons as Euro Truck Simulator I guess.

It's got a good modding community too. It gets boring and repetitive after a while, but it's fun for plenty of hours.

Edit: For a fiver it's excellent value. I think I paid close to full price.

Tempted by New Vegas although not sure whether just to get the basic edition for £2.49 or the whole thing or the complete edition for £5.09....

Im not much of a completionist and will probably get bored of it fairly quickly so perhaps just the standard edition.

is the DLC any good?
