Steam Summer Sale: What's on your list?

Not really. Borrowed my friends Origin account to have a play and since Origin are trying to compete with Steam I would have though it's either the same process or even easier/better but I was sadly mistaken. It's a resource hungry mess of a platform with adverts plastered all over the place. Since my HDD died with BF3 on it (now replaced with a new HDD) i've really not been bothered to re-install or play the game. Since you guys seem to love Origin so much, i'm sure you can look for ward to their amazing Sales that they're bound to have.

what advertisement? And steam has advertisement too. And resource hog? LOL origin takes up FAR LESS resource then you launching your favourite web browser to read this post.

I don't see why some of you are getting so upset, this is a Steam thread and it's been de-railed to high Hell. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions so relax. :)

By all means make an 'Origin Sale Thread' if you so desire, i'm sure it'll get spammed with amazing EA deals just a few hours.
 
both origin and steam are drm bloatware. I have no idea why we need to run a useless download manager with a storefront built when we are actually playing the game.

Steam and Origin will allow you to play a game you paid for anywhere with a net connection.

So many plus's.

But as said, back on topic. This isn't youtube. It's a bloody steam sale thread. That and that alone.

Move on.
 
Only game im wanting this sale is Civilization always seem to miss it on sale, saying that i will end up with 10+ games by the end of it :D.

Not too bothered about Skyrim, but I will have a new rig so if it's cheap enough I might get involved to see what all the fuss is about and stretch the rig a bit.

Max it out with all the terrain and lighting mods. It will look amazing. :)

And you'll be hooked, im only 124 hours in. :)

Hurry up steam i want f1 2011 already.

I remember the community was always the downside in 2010 on PS3, you would very rarely get off the line before some idiot caused a massive crash. It was fun, but not when trying to do proper races :p
