Quick question: The last Assassin's Creed game I played was AC2 (which I loved), so should I spend a fiver on Brotherhood, or the tenner on Revelations, given that I can't afford both?

I'd like to continue the story where I left off, but if it's carp overall and Revelations is much better, then it makes sense to just skip Brotherhood and get the better game. If Brotherhood is worth playing though, it makes my wallet hurt less and I get the continuity = win.

Opinions?

Rage seems a bit overpriced was hoping for £7.50.

Decided to pickup Assassin's Creed pack although I already own 1 & 2 as it slightly cheaper than buying Bro, Rev and the DLC seperately.

Oh and Fable 3, FEAR3 and Dear Esther!

ah-ha, wondered why arma 2 had been ranking as a top seller

Day z looks great, though not sure i want to spend £20 only to have to buy the mod again. Any ideas when it comes out as a standalone?

Well you won't have to buy the mod again, your buying the game to play the mod. If you think about it properly the mod doesn't cost you a thing, it's free if you have arma2/operation arrowhead.

It is not even close enough to be brought out as a standalone, so you'll be waiting until first quarter next year at the very earliest, probably even as late as 2nd/3rd quarter.

Played through the lot with only 1 minor issue and that was some sort of random small stutter in one of the parts but it didn't bother me really at all. They are fantastic games but the first one is a bit repetitive however 2nd one onwards aren't.

Ah good to know, played them before on 360, but was unsure on PC port

Tempted by Assassin's Creed, worth starting with the first game or does the series improve with the later games?

IMO it is probably worth starting with the first game as it will enhance the storyline.
That said, AC2 is a lot better than AC1 and you could probably get away with starting on AC2.

Personally I'd just buy the whole pack for £19.99 the Deluxe/Gold editions of Brotherhood and Revelations cost more than that.

There is very little similar between them, but they are both great games,. Go find some video reviews on them :)

Very different games indeed. Depends on what you prefer the most, personally the witcher 2 was my favourite of the two. Lots of quests adventuring and endless monsters/people to cut up with that silver sword! The graphics still blow me away. ACR if you have played the others is nothing really new. Both of them will keep you busy for a good few hrs though! And are great games.

Definitely play assassins creed 2, then brotherhood, then revelations. The story just has so much more impact. You won't miss a huge amount not playing the very first game though IMO.
